Subin NPP Candidate Wild

The newly elected 2016 NPP parliamentary candidate for Subin Constituency in Kumasi, Eugene Boakye Antwi, has expressed anger over the existing electoral register which he claimed is bloated and full of inconsistencies.

He has therefore charged the Electoral Commission (EC) to, as a matter of urgency, replace the electoral register with a more credible one to ensure peaceful, free and fair election in 2016.

Mr. Antwi said even though it was an open secret that the electoral register is not credible, the EC had surprisingly kept mute over this important issue, noting that he would make sure that the register is replaced.

The NPP parliamentary candidate said he would intensify pressure on the EC until the electoral register is replaced, urging all NPP faithful across the country to join the crusade for EC to do the proper thing.

Mr. Antwi called for total unity in the NPP, stressing that with unity and oneness there is no doubt that the NPP would wrest political power from the ruling NDC in the upcoming presidential polls.

He said the NDC had messed the economy up and had consequently deepened the financial problem of the masses; advocating that the NPP should strategize and campaign well to win the elections.

Mr. Antwi who won the Subin NPP polls with 256 votes, representing 41 percent of the total votes cast, admonished his supporters not to over jubilate or tease the supporters of the losing candidates,

He described the NPP polls as a family affair therefore its outcome should not be seen as a victory for one person, stressing that the most important thing for the NPP now is how they could capture power in 2016.

Mr. Antwi who claimed he won the polls due to perseverance, hard work and determination, charged all NPP members to direct their attention towards the defeat of the NDC in 2016.
