Member of Parliament for Bantama, Hon. Henry Kokofu says WAEC Boss, Reverend Samuel Nii Nmai Ollenu should resign from office following the leakage of BECE papers on social media platforms.
Contributing to Kokrokoo on Peace FM, Hon. Henry Kokofu told host Kwami Sefa Kayi that the West African Examination Council (WAEC) has been compromised by the examination paper leak.
To him, the onus of responsibility lay with the Head of the Council to prevent such incident.
He also recounted some hardships that the action by the council to cancel the papers and postpone it to Monday June 19, 2015 would pose to the school children and their parents.
According to him, the WAEC decision will heap huge cost on the parents of the children as they prepare their wards to re-write the examinations.
He further noted that some innocent students have been made to suffer the penalty resulting from the mass leakage of the papers.
He therefore called on the Council to take precautionary measures to avert future occurrences.
