Dzamefe Commission Report Ready For Sale

The Assembly Press has stated that the Dzamefe Commission’s Report is ready for sale to any interested persons and organisations.

The Managing Director of the State Publishing Corporation, owners of the Assembly Press, Mr David Dzreke, told the Daily Graphic yesterday that the Attorney General’s Department presented the report to the Assembly Press last Tuesday in hard copy.

He said the Assembly Press had to scan the report and expose it to the plate before printing it.
That process, Mr Dzreke said, was the cause of the delay in the printing of the report.
He said the report was ready and indicated that a copy could be purchased at GH¢120.

Last month the government released a White Paper on the report of a Commission of Enquiry into matters relating to the participation of the Black Stars in the 2014 World Cup Tournament in Brazil.

The Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Mrs Marietta Brew Appiah-Opong, said the government accepted most of the recommendations of the Commission.

She said where government had not accepted the commission’s recommendations, it had stated that and given reasons for the non-acceptance.

“Where the government has accepted the recommendations in modified form, this has also been stated and the reasons for the modification have been given," she added.

Mrs Appiah-Opong said the next step after the issuance of the White Paper was the implementation of the recommendations, which had been accepted, as well as those accepted with modifications.

She said the government had accepted the recommendation of the commission to assign implementation responsibilities in relation to the payment of penalties, the return of state property and surcharging of certain named personalities for losses caused to the Ministry of Justice and Attorney-General’s Department.
