Angry Sodom And Gomorrah Residents Demonstrate Over Demolition At State House (PHOTOS)

Residents of Sodom and Gomorrah are demonstrating against what they describe as unfair treatment of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly (AMA).

The AMA on Saturday demolished a part of Sodom and Gomorrah.

However, according to residents, they were not informed of the demolition neither have they been provided with any temporary accommodation.

'Where do they want us to sleep'? one resident queried.

According to a report Prince Ahenkan, PEACE FM correspondent, the demonstrators numbering about 1500 have blocked the entrance of the Banquet Hall of the State House, and roads leading to the Parliament House, State House, AMA office and the Agbogbloshie Market, all in Accra.

Some of them are brandishing placards eulogising the 2016 New Patriotic Party flagbearer Nana Akufo-Addo and shouting "No Akufo-Addo, no vote in 2016".

The demonstrators say, they want to draw the attention of the President to the fact that the demolition has rendered them homeless.

Reports indicate that the police are having a difficult time trying to control the crowd.
