The mortal remains of the late Kwasi Brenya, General Manager of Peace FM, will be laid to rest today Saturday, June 27 at his hometown Foase-Kokobin in the Ashanti Region.

Before then, the body will be laid in state at the Forecourt of the State House (Saturday) between the hours of 6 - 9am, after which it will be airlifted to his hometown for burial.

The Final Funeral Rites then comes off at 1pm at the forecourt of the State House

Mr Brenya took ill weeks ago and was admitted at the 37 Military Hospital, where he was responding to treatment until his unfortunate demise on Tuesday, May 5, 2015. He was 57.

The one week observation of Kwasi Brenya’s demise was held on Sunday, May 10, 2015 at the Lizzy Sports Complex at East Legon.

On Sunday, June 28, a church service will take place at the Saint Michael's Roman Catholic Church, New Achimota followed by family gathering at his residence, East Legon.

There will be live musical performances by some Ghanaian musicians who worked closely with Kwasi Brenya.

The funeral and burial ceremonies are expected to attract thousands of people from all walks of life, including Ghanaian musicians, stakeholders in the showbiz industry as well as politicians.
