This summer has seen a number of high-profile footballers tie the knot with their partners.

Spain internationals Pedro and Jose Callejon are the latest to do so after getting married over the weekend.

Barcelona forward Pedro married partner Carolina Martin in Villa Bugatti, Cabrera de Mar, this Saturday while former Real Madrid winger�Callejon tied the knot with Marta Ponsati a day earlier in�Torrelodones.�

It was a star-studded occasion for Pedro with a number of his team-mates including Andres Iniesta and former captain Carles Puyol attending his big day.

A summer break for a Premier League football player seems to mean time set aside to either go crazy on the beaches of Marbella and Ibiza or tie the knot with the love of your life.

Numerous players have chosen one or the other this summer with Manchester United winger Ashley Young and Swansea midfielder Jonjo Shelvey already choosing the latter.

Ashley Young also celebrated his standout season for Manchester United by finally tying the knot with childhood sweetheart Nicky Pike - four years after the couple had originally planned to marry.

The England winger left friends and family shocked when he called off the �200,000 ceremony out of the blue just 48 hours before the big day in 2011.

But at the second time of asking the couple, who began dating when they were still at school, got hitched in a secret wedding at the plush Stoke Place Hotel in Buckinghamshire on Saturday.

Liverpool's Simon Mignolet also used the close season break to get married to partner Jasmine Claes at a wedding ceremony in Sint-Truiden, Belgium.

Saturday was a busy day for footballers getting married, as Laurent Koscielny, Ivan Rakitic, Fernando Llorente, Seamus Coleman, Callejon, Kameni and Abate all tied the not.

Barcelona man Ivan Rakitic chose to return to his spiritual home of Seville for his wedding, which was attended by several former Sevilla teammates.

Rakitic has been married with Raquel for two years, after a civil ceremony, but has since wanted to have a church ceremony.

Real Madrid's Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas also got married in a Catholic church in Costa Rica, to Andrea Salas.

Seamus Coleman, The Republic of Ireland and Everton star tied the knot with childhood star Rachel Cunningham in their native Donegal.

The 26-year-olds, who have been sweethearts for 11 years, shared their great day with up to 280 guests at St Mary the Visitation in Killybegs.�

22-year-old Real Madrid defender Rapha�l Varane also �got married to Camille Tytgat on Saturday in France.

Fernando Llorente�got married on Saturday and had Spain international team-mates Cesc Fabregas and Alvaro Arbeloa in attendance to share his special day with, along with Javi Martinez.

Ex- Cameroonian Goalie, Idris Carlos Kameni got married to his partner and mother of his children: Mirielle Edzimbi Christine over the weekend too.�
