Ayew Brothers Storm Mantse Agbona Today

The Ayew brothers comprising Rahim, Dede and Jordan are expected to thrill soccer fans in the boxing community of Manste Agbona, near Bukom in Accra, Fiifie Tackie spokesperson for the Ayews has disclosed.

The sons of soccer maestro Abedi Pele will join some select sides to thrill fans in a memorial game in honour of Percy Quaye, nicknamed Zagalo, a former Technical Director at Nania FC, who passed on a year ago.

According to Tackie, the deceased Quaye played a key role in the formative years of the three brothers at Nania FC.

Newly-signed Swansea player, Dede was seen at the Puma Shop of the Accra Mall yesterday to pledge support for Stephen Appiah, former Black Stars captain, towards the latter’s testimonial game.

“He (Percy Quaye) is one of the technical guys who played a key role when we were growing up. It is sad he is not around to see us play in his area. That is why we are going to Mantse Agbona to play in his honour,” Dede said.

The Ayews returned recently from Cote d’Ivoire after a short holiday, and indications are that they will be part of the Asamoah Gyan XI that will face Stephen Appiah’s side in the testimonial game this Saturday.
