Alhaji Jawula Pokes GFA Prez

Former GFA Chairman Lepowura M.N.D. Jawula has urged current boss of the nation's football governing body, Kwesi Nyantakyi to stop appointing only his close associates to important positions at the GFA.

His comment comes on the back of the publication of the government white paper and the report by the Dzamefe Commission, which among other things asked for the GFA President to be investigated over monies paid to management members of the Black Stars during the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Jawula believes that the 48-year-old lawyer could have saved himself by appointing competent and capable people for positions with the FA and not his close friends.

"For me, he has not been able to pin down things as they should but definitely it is a signal that all may not be well", Jawula said on GTV’s Sunday Night Live.

"He as the head of of the association will have to have another look again at working with friends and associate and those who are competent

"Because you can see clearly that he only appoints people he is close to for the GFA positions," He added.
