NPP Parliamentary candidate for Lawra constituency in the Upper West region, Anthony Abayifaa Karbo of the opposition has maintained that his party will expose the ills of the Mahama-led governance that has left Ghana’s economy sinking.

“We exposing the ills of society is the beginning of finding solutions to our problems. If we don’t address corruption, we will still return to ground zero. The core of the issue is that corruption has taken a centre stage in the NDC government and they should be able to rectify them,” he told Kasapa FM.

According to him, the ills exposure will be spearheaded by the party’s running mate to Nana Afuko-Addo, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia – “Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s open criticism of the country’s economy is to expose the deep ills of governance”. 

Describing Ghana’s economy as the poorest ever under president Mahama, Karbo said Dr. Bawumia will address the challenges that has bedeviled Ghana.

His comment came after Dr. Bawumia has alleged in a forum in London that investors were fast losing confidence in Ghana’s economy.
