The United Progressive Party (UPP) will on July 18, 2015 organise its first National Delegates Congress at the Golden Tulip, Kumasi, to elect a Party Flagbearer and National Executive members to lead the Party into the 2016 general election.
On the 27th May, 2015, the party received its final Certificate from the Electoral Commission. This was followed by their regional elections and as at now, the party is ready for their National Delegates Congress.
In a statement signed by Mr. Razak Kojo Opoku the General Secretary of the party, he stated that the theme for their congress is "New Route into Victory 2016". UPP expects 1,500 delegates to attend the congress and has cordially invited the general public to witness the event.
