My Enemies Will Suffer Before They Die - Akua Donkor

Founder of Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), Akua Donkor, has accused the New Patriotic Party (NPP) of concocting a false report that she had pocketed GH¢30,000 campaign cash meant to push the party’s parliamentary candidate, Moro Philip, for yesterday’s Talensi by-election.

Sounding extremely angry, the controversial politician rained curses on the NPP wishing that members of the largest opposition political party in the country would never experience peace for the rest of their lives on earth.

“Those peddling the GH¢30,000 falsehood about me are NPP members….and God will deal with them ruthlessly. My enemies will suffer before they die.

“NPP is a wicked political party; they poured acid on their Upper East Regional chairman and killed him. Anyone that will support the NPP will not go to heaven because they are a bunch of wicked people.”

Akua Donkor said there is no iota of truth in reports that she had pocketed the party’s campaign cash for the Talensi by-election, urging her supporters not to believe the false reportage.

She said she had personally been using her own money to sponsor the activities of the GFP without any help from any quarters, therefore “it doesn’t make sense for anybody to accuse me of pocketing the party’s campaign money.”

Madam Donkor, who was brimming with rage, queried, “Who gave me the money for campaign activities at Talensi?” She dared anyone who has concrete evidence that the GFP had been receiving money for campaign from outside to come out and prove it.

Akua Donkor said, “Nobody is sponsoring the GFP, I formed the party and I run it with my own money.”

The GFP leader said she sponsored Yaro Philip to travel by air to Accra recently in connection with the Talensi by-election, adding that she also gave him GH¢1,000 for his personal rounds.

She said on Nhyira Fm that the NPP started to hate her when she openly praised President Mahama for managing the affairs of the country well, saying that the NPP could continue to attack her because she cared less about that.

Akua Donkor stated categorically that President Mahama is the best president in Ghana’s history, stressing that she would continually praise him for the “effective manner in which he has been managing the country’s economy.”
