NPP National Youth Organizer Aspirant Hopeson Adorye has blamed the Interior Minister for the infamous deaths that have since characterized Bimbilla in the Northern Region.
Tension brewed at Bimbilla yesterday as residents shot at each other.
An eyewitness who spoke to Peace FM disclosed the circumstances that sparked the gun fires in the locality.
According to him, the commotion was due to the supply of meat to the current chief which had angered a faction of kinsmen in the area.
The angry kinsmen, he stated, had constantly warned the butchers to stop the supplying fresh meat to the new chief. They asked that the meat be sent to the household of the late chief of the town, who was murdered.
According to Hopeson Adorye, the Interior Minister Mark Woyongo cannot be let off the hook but rather he should take full responsibility for the chaos at Bimbilla.
Addressing the issue, the NPP member labeled the Interior Minister as an "irresponsible Minister of the century."
"Inferior Minister Mark Woyongo must be blamed for the Bimbilla chaos and deaths. Irresponsible Minister of the century," he wrote on his Facebook wall.
