I'll Rather Establish A Church Than Rejoin NDC Gomoa West NPP Chairman

Joe Donkor, who crossed carpet from the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC] to the opposition New Patriotic Party [NPP] a couple of years back, says he never regrets his decision.

Currently serving as the Gomoa West Chairman of the NPP, Joe Donkor maintained that the NPP has what it takes to rule Ghana again.

According to him, the Mahama-led NDC government has undoubtedly “failed” Ghanaians and its own people who voted them into power – “What is going on in Ghana now is really sad”.

In an interview with Peacefmonine.com the NPP man accused the NDC of masterminding the Talensi by-election clashes between the NDC’s "Azorka Boys" and NPP’s "Bolga Bulldogs" – “I know the NDC and what they are capable of doing. I wouldn’t be surprised if they clad their own people in other party's robes just to orchestrate the violence in Talensi. I was once an ardent member of the party and know what they can do”.

Asked if he will consider rejoining the NDC again due to the internal wrangling in the NPP, he said – “I understand there are issues in the NPP - such issues will never emanate within the NDC because despite their hooliganism, they are always united and solve issues within the party”.

“…But for me to rejoin the party [NDC] it is impossible. I will rather establish a church than to join them. I will prefer the name ‘Prophet Donkor’ than being described as a member of the NDC,” he added.
