Ive Never Lost A Battle Yamoah Ponkoh

Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Ejisu Juaben in the Ashanti Region, Kwaku Afrifa Yamoah Ponkoh has vowed to hit back at critics trying hard to tarnish his hard earned image.

According to him, he is a hard nut to crack thus his critics espcially in the National Democratic Congress (NDC) cannot bring him down.

Yamoah Ponkoh who was reacting to accusations leveled against him by the constituency chairman of the area, Eugene Agyarko that he is hoarding some bags of rice meant for the school feeding program, thus calling him ‘thief’ rubbished the claims saying “I’m not a thief".

“DCEs and MCEs always receive bags of rice from the caterers of the school feeding program and I chose to keep mine till they got expired and so if I am feeding my poultry with the rice, does it make me a thief” he questioned.

Eugene Agyarko also claimed that Yamoah Ponkoh is not a true member of the party. According to him, during the tenure of Yamoah Ponko as the MCE, his activities have sharply divided the party in the constituency and making it unattractive to the constituents in the area.

But Yamoah Ponkoh on Adom FM Wednesday accused some party big wigs of being behind his sack. This he noted will never deter him from helping his party to retain its seat in 2016.

“My enemies are trying hard to fight me left, right and centre but I want them to know that I don’t lose any fight and I will never lose a fight. If President Mahama assesses my performance and they still want me back, I’m ready to come back and nothing can stop me from discharging my duties” he stated.

He expressed shock at the conduct of the constituency chairman whom he admits has been a pain in his neck.

“How can Eugene Agyarko say I’m not an NDC member, why then would the president appoint me to be the MCE for four good years? I know some party people are trying hard to tarnish my reputation but I will never allow them” he insisted.

In spite of the accusations, Yamoah Ponkoh said it will not deter him from working hard to retain the NDC in power.

“Things like these accusations are always common in our Ghanaian politics. It’s very sad to see people in my own party behaving this way but I’m ever ready to fight hard and help my president to win the 2016 elections” he indicated.
