No External Pressure Must Make You Bow To Ungodly

The Head Pastor of the North Kaneshie branch of Assemblies of God Church, Rev. Harry Stein-Morgan Insaidoo, has asked Ghanaians, particularly policy makers, not to allow Western pressure to make them bow to “ungodly doctrine” that could bring the fury of God on the people.

He said ungodly acts, including the passage of the homosexual law, permitting man-to-man and woman-to-woman marriage, “goes directly against the biblical doctrine of Christianity.”

“Ghana is a Christian nation and just because some countries from the Western world allow homosexuality to prevail does not mean we ought to endorse this in our country,” Rev. Insaidoo said at the opening of a two-week revival programme in Accra.

Dubbed: the “Gathering of God’s Champions”, the event is an annual programme that seeks to empower Christians to stand firm and hold fast their faith irrespective of the struggles they face.

It also seeks to bring people from all walks of life to celebrate the goodness of God in their life and that of their respective families.
Economic challenges

Rev. Insaidoo said although Ghana might be faced with numerous economic challenges, Christians should never allow the pressure to make them deny their faith and adhere to “worldly wisdom of living life.

“God is not moved by the rise in petroleum prices, neither is he moved by the depreciation of the country’s currency. With just a snap of his finger, he could bless your life beyond measure,” he said.

Rev. Insaidoo said it was unfortunate that many Christians allowed the economic pressure of life to make them undertake ventures that were ungodly, adding that “you betray your faith if you succumb to the wisdom of this world.”

“Christians must see hardship as some of the trials that challenge their faith in God. If you claim to belong to God and that you are a believer of the Bible, then you must stand in faith in times of tests and trials,” he said.
