NPP Wishes Muslims Happy Eid-Ul-Fitr

The New Patriotic Party wishes to extend its warmest felicitation to Muslims all over the world, especially Ghanaians, on the occasion of this year’s Eid-il-Fitr celebration.

This is an annual feast on the Islamic calendar which is observed by all Muslims to mark the end of Ramadan.

Millions of Muslims are expected to converge at their various prayer grounds to pray to Allah, exchange pleasantries and feast amongst themselves and their neighbours. The significance of Eid-il-fitr should guide us to be compassionate, tolerant, selfless and committed towards our peaceful co-existence and the sustenance of our democratic values.

As Muslims celebrate this important day, we urge them and the rest of Ghanaians, to continue to pray for the economic recovery of our nation.

We cannot be indifferent or unconcerned with the growing level of mismanagement, poor governance and leadership that has lowered the dignity and the right to decent life for the mass of our people.

Ghanaians must come together and demand accountability, competent leadership, and the judicious use of the country's scarce resources in order to promote the welfare of all its citizens and not a select few.
Once again, we join well-wishers across the world in congratulating all Muslims.

Eid Mubarak!
