The ‘Special Assistant for Political Affairs’ to former Attorney-General, Ayikoi Otoo has gone missing.
Stephen Bortey Okane, 32, is said to have left his residence in his Toyota 4 Runner vehicle on July 11 and has since not returned.
He was reported to have told his wife he was heading to Prampram but his car was however found on Friday July 17 behind 5 Star Foods - a beverage manufacturing company in Tema - he was nowhere to be found. His slippers and other personal items were found in the vehicle but his whereabouts are still unknown.
All efforts to reach him has been futile, thus far.
Former Attorney General Ayikoi Otoo who has reported the case to the police is requesting the help of the general public to locate Stephen Bortey Okane.
Ayikoi Otoo told Myjoyonline.com he does not suspect foul play because there is no evidence to suggest that.
He however said he was confident in the ability of the police to get to the bottom of the matter.
He explained that a report was made to Police after three days because initially family and friends thought Stephen was just cooling off somewhere by himself.
Ayikoi Otoo and Stephen’s family are pleading with anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact the police.
