Flagbearer and Leader of the Ghana Freedom Party Madam Akua Donkor has slammed her critics especially those who questioned her recent state trip to Italy.

She described her detractors as “mentally sick” and “evils” whose aim is to destroy her relationship with President John Dramni Mahama.

Madam Akua Donkor however maintained that, her inclusion to the delegation to Italy was reasonable – “I played a vital role there [in Italy] than even most of government appointees there”. 

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show "Ghana Mo Tie", the ‘uneducated’ politician rubbished the debate that politics was meant for the literates; “I understand the Queen’s language [English] but I can’t speak it. Politics is not for only the educated ones”. 

The ‘farmer-politician’ however told host Kwasi Aboagye that despite some individuals displeasure that government includes her in most official trips with the recent being the president’s three-day Italy trip – “I am yet to tour the world with President Mahama. I will follow him [Prez Mahama] to all state trips in Ghana and outside Ghana”.

“I don’t care what people will say. My haters can go to hell,” she added. 

Madam Akua Donkor who returned from Italy last Saturday described Italy as a nice place, heavenly and very clean, unlike Ghana which has been engulfed with filth.
