The 2012 running mate of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) says she has an innovative way to audit the voters register which will not cost the nation much.

According to Nana Akosua Frimpongmaa II, she can audit the register within six month using a very simple technology.

Her call comes on the back of calls by opposition political parties and governance think tanks for a new register ahead of the 2016 general election.

The crusade being championed by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo is to ensure a violence free elections.

In support, Nana Frimpongmaa II in an interview with Adom News said the call by the political parties is in the national interest.

She indicated that the Electoral Commission (EC) must support the call to eliminate any mistrust in the electoral process leading to the 2016 polls.

The CPP 2012 running mate who is also the Dwantoahemaa of the Dormaa traditional area said she is ever ready to assist the EC if it decides to change the voters register.

Nana Frimpongmaa II cautioned political parties not to play partisan politics with the call for a new register to enable them reach a consensus with the Commission.
