I Wont Quit Kotoko Coach Duncan

Head Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko David Duncan has stated emphatically that he will not lay down his tools despite the club’s current predicament.

The club has suffered a streak of defeats lately on home and foreign soils, yet the tough-talking coach says quitting is not part of his vocabulary and that he will hold on to his post till his contract ends.

He revealed in an interview a few days ago that his coaching career has been characterized by challenges which he surmounts eventually; citing his days at Great Olympics, Hasaacas, Ashgold, Hearts of Oak as classical examples.

“I have never been a quitter. I have never shied away from challenges. I go for clubs everybody runs from. I don’t go for ready-made clubs. I pick them from nowhere and put them at respectable positions,” said Duncan.

The former Hearts of Oak coach replaced Mas Ud Didi Dramani at Kotoko, but has since his appointment struggled to break through in the First Capital Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors have recorded 29 points from 23 games and are lying 10th on the league log.

They play as guests of WAFA in a mid-week league tie today.
