Ursula Owusu Is A Disgrace To Democracy; She Has Coup D��tat Mentality - Constituency Chairman
Acting NPP Constituency Chairman for Ablekuma West, Nii Abby is accusing the incumbent Member of Parliament for the constituency, Hon. Ursula Owusu of fomenting chaos and turbulence in the constituency.
News is circulating that the Supreme Court has placed an injunction on the NPP parliamentary primaries in the Ablekuma West Constituency after one Mr. Abednego Tetteh petitioned the court due to what he says is a bloated album in the constituency.
Speaking to the issue on Okay Fm’s "Ade Akye Abia" Morning Show, the Acting Constituency chairman, Nii Abby described the action of the incumbent MP as frustrating the progress of democratic dispensation in the party.
He asserted that Hon. Ursula Owusu and her cronies have taken this action against the party because they [Ablekuma West NPP Constituency executives and the aspirant] refused to accept a bribery deal to allow the incumbent run unopposed.
The deal was the exchange of some money and acquisition of visas to travel abroad.
He insisted Hon. Ursula Owusu is not democrat as she is afraid of competition; indicating that his MP has coup blood in her which is why she wants to stage a coup d’état against democracy and her constituency executives.
“She is not a democrat; she is afraid of elections. Her background is from the 31st December Women Movement and so she has coup blood in her because the Movement came from a coup d’état wing,” he asserted.
“She wants to destroy our party; she doesn’t belong to us. Her origin is coup d’état and she came from the PNDC/NDC and so she is exhibiting that same behavior when she joined the NPP because she is running a parallel executive structure against the NPP office in the Ablekuma West Constituency,” he further alleged.
He established that a true NPP member will not get involved in anything that will undermine the progress of the democratic dispensation in the party; lashing out at lawyer Gary Nimako Marfo - who is representing the plaintiff - as a disgrace for teaming up with the likes of Ursula Owusu to destroy NPP.
