English side Aston Villa are close on sealing a deal for Ghanaian international striker Jordan Ayew from French Ligue 1 outfit Lorient. Media reports have hinted.
Reports say Lorient have accepted a £12million bid from Villa who are eager to secure the signature of the 23-year-old.
The Premiership Club has been in hunt for a striker after the departure of Belgian international Christian Benteke to Liverpool.
Ayew who has been a major transfer target for the English Club was arguably the best player for Lorient last season after bagging 12 League goals for Club.
Lorient officials and Villa are expected to finalize the deal for the former Olympique Marseille striker in the coming weeks.
The Black Stars attacker would be joining his brother Andre Ayew in England should the deal materialize.
