What Is Our Crime In Inviting Dr. Otabil & Prof. Martey? - John Boadu Quizzes

John Boadu, National Organizer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has rubbished requests by some political figures and socio-economic commentators for Ex-President John Agyekum Kufour and the NPP to explain why certain religious leaders were not invited to the party's peace meeting.

According to him, such calls on the former President are baseless and should not be entertained.

John Boadu, speaking on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo" noted that it is the NPP's prerogative to select key figures that can help in the peace negotiation process.

He further explained that the involvement of Dr. Otabil and Rev. Prof Martey was strategic to help the course of the meeting.

“Did we say we are taking specific Pastors and so rejected others? People should just stop making such unnecessary comments.”

Expounding the rationale for the NPP's meeting to maintain peace within the party, the party's National Organizer asserted that the party does not owe any person an apology or explanation for selecting those key religious leaders for the function.

“Maybe, there’s an issue in my house and I’m inviting my neighbour, I choose who to invite…So, why should someone ask why I didn’t call my close neighbour? Where from such things? If you want someone to address your issue for you, is it not someone who you can laugh with? Is it not someone who has an influence on the people at the center of discussion? What is the crime in this? Just to create confusion…What’s the meaning of this?" he questioned.
