Derek Boateng says he keen to test himself against Spain�s finest after completing his switch FC Cologne to Getafe on Monday. Boateng passed a medical on Monday before putting pen to paper on a contract that will keep him at the Colosium Alfero Perez. He will be officially unveiled as a Getafe player on Thursday. �I am relieved we have sorted it all out,� he told KickOffGhana.com. �I am now a Getafe player and really delighted by the chance to play in Spain.� Boateng spent just six months in Germany with FC Cologne and said the decision to leave had been a difficult one. �I did not get up to speed with the game in Germany but Cologne treated me well and made me feel welcome so to leave after six months was a difficult decision to take. But Getafe is an exciting challenge that I am willing to take and I am just happy that I can test myself in another country now.� Boateng who was voted second best player at the 2001 World Youth Championships in Argentina has already played in Greece, Sweden, Israel and Germany and will be settling in his fifth country in a nomadic football career since he left Ghana in the late 90s.
