Hearts, Kotoko Chase Herbert Addo

Herbert Addo three more Clubs have joined Kotoko in the race to sign Coach, Herbert Addo, a close source told sportsmen. Accra Hearts of Oak, Ashantigold FC and Bechem Chelsea, he disclosed, were working behind the scenes to snatch Coach Addo away from Kotoko. Hearts of Oak and Ashanti-Gold are former clubs of Coach Addo, as he took the Obuasi lads to the finals of the first edition of the CAF Champions League finals in 1997, but losing to Raja Casablanca in the finals. Addo improved Kotoko�s fortunes by helping the eighth placed club to finish second after he had joined the Porcupine Warriors during the second round of the season. The source further noted that Kotoko were highly impressed with Coach Addo�s output and are prepared to give him a permanent deal. According to the source, Kotoko have tabled GH�8,000 and US 2,000 Dollars as Coach Addo�s signing on fee and monthly salary respectively, but the celebrated coach is demanding GH�30,000 and GH�3,000 as signing on fee and monthly salary respectively. Both parties failed to reach a deal at an earlier meeting, but they are billed to meet again tomorrow. The source added that Coach Addo might leave, if Kotoko failed to meet his demands; whilst Hearts, Ashgold and Chelsea officials are closely watching to see the final outcome. In related development, the six-man Kotoko management team, headed by Alhaji Nje would meet the owner of the Club, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, tomorrow to give stock of their stewardship. A source mentioned that Otumfuo would either maintain or sack the management team based on the accounts that they deliver to him at the close door meeting at the Manhyia Palace.
