The Junior Doctors' Case Carries Weight...Solve The Issue - Kwesi Pratt Tells Gov't

Kwesi Pratt, Editor-in-Chief of the Insight newspaper, has backed the action taken by some junior doctors in the country to claim their remunerations from the Controller and Accountant General Department (CAGD).

Speaking on "Kokrokoo" on Peace FM, Kwesi Pratt asserted that the junior doctors' frustrations should not be downplayed but rather given the appropriate response from the regulatory body.

According to him, the doctors deserve their salaries in order to survive; so the reasons adduced by the CAGD for failing to pay the doctors cannot be justified.

When they started making the complaints while there was solution, why didn’t we bring the solution during that time? The doctors’ issue seems to have weight. Sometimes, some people embark on strikes which are baseless but this particular act carries weight,” he said.

Kwesi Pratt appealed to the authorities to address the concerns of the junior doctors.
