National Security Takes Over Security Arrangements At Prez Mahamas Church

National Security operatives have taken over security arrangements at the Ringway Gospel Centre of the Assemblies of God, where President Mahama fellowships. A week ago, a young man named, Charles Antwi stormed the church premises with the intent of assassinating the President.

He was arrested and subsequently put before court and jailed 10 years. This development has raised issues of about the President’s in his own church. The Public Relations Officer the Church, Deacon Boateng Sarpong indicated, “the issue is being handled by the national security, and I know they were here yesterday. We have left them to handle this situation.”

He added that the church board is brainstorming and will soon come out with modalities that will ensure total security of all members when they come to church.

Deacon Boateng Sarpong was also of the view that it was the Holy Spirit that arrested Charles Antwi. “On that day the pastor was preaching about total repentance. I believe perhaps he heard the message and repented. For me zeroing it down, I know it was the Holy Spirit who arrested him, but because we work in the physical realm we have to put in place measures to ensure total security for our members.”

Some of the church members said they are not scared and still feel safe because according to them, “God protects them.”
