Dwarfs Join Play-Offs Candidates

Former Premier League campaigners Ebusua Dwarfs and Tarkwa FC have completed the list of teams for the Division One League promotional play-offs which begins on Sunday. The duo will be joined by Gold Stars and New Edubiase United in zone 2 for a promotional ticket. Dwarfs managed a 4-0 thumping of Starke FC to progress and Tarkwa topped the group with a resounding 3-1 win over Windy Professionals at home. Elsewhere in the zone 2B fixtures, Feyernord will have to wait for another year despite their 2-1 win over Metro Stars. The final game in the zone saw Westlanders beat Coconut Groove 2-1 at home. Twelve teams have thus qualified to play in the play-offs meant to select three teams that will play in the top flight next season. Guan United, Universal Stars, Bechem United and Aduana Stars have qualified to play in zone 1. Okwahu United, Great Olympics, Real Sportive and Mighty Jets fight in zone 3.
