NPC Saddened By The Death Of Samuel Anim

The National Paralympic Committee (NPC), Ghana is saddened by the sudden death of the nations number one cyclist Samuel Anim on Saturday, August 1. A statement signed by Ignatius Elletey, General Secretary of NPC, said "We were shocked to have heard about the death of Anim, who obviously has been the nations leading cyclist for the past years". It said Ghana has indeed lost an illustrious son whose commitment and dedication to the sports was second to none. "The mere thought of the fact that, he was on field preparing for the 2015 All Africa Games (AAG), in Brazzaville, was enough demonstration of his commitment to the cause of the nation. "It is however, sad that, death has laid its icy hands on one of our medal hopefuls at the All Africa Games," it statement added. The statement said "On this sad occasion we urge the Ghana Cycling Association (GCA), the nuclear and extended family of the late Anim to be strong in the Lord for God knows best. "The NPC is fully behind the GCA and the family of Anim in these trying moments and it is our firm conviction that the good lord will continue to guide the family as we prepare for his final departure".
