It was done by Bang Bang, a tattoo artist favored by many A-list celebrities including Cara Delevingne, Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga.
He later shared a picture of his work on his Instagram page. Rihanna had earlier been pictured heading into the tattoo parlor in her New York neighborhood on Wednesday.
