Meet The 2014 Journalist of the Year (Photo)

Seth Kwame Boateng of Accra based radio station Joy FM was crowned Journalist of the Year at the 20th Ghana Journalist Association awards ceremony in Accra on Saturday.

Boateng's television and radio documentary at the Nsawam Maximum Security prisons that exposed the plight of prisoners, especially those on remand won him the overall award.

In addition to the overall award, Boateng won two other awards in features on radio and television.

President John Dramani Mahama who was the special guest of honour at the awards ceremony presented the P.A.V. Ansah award to Seth Kwame Boateng.

A citation accompanying the award said he has been consistent with his research on stories.

Seth J. Bokpe of the Daily Graphic was adjudged the most promising young journalist of the year.
