Tagoe Stays Calm

Black Stars striker, Prince Tagoe says he is staying calm after his contract was terminated by the German club Hoffenheim on health grounds. Hoffenheim on Wednesday announced that they had cancelled Tagoes three-year contract due to poor health despite the same player having passed previous medicals before signing the contract with the Club; with their claim been denied by Tagoe and his agent. In the midst of the controversy, Tagoe told KickOffGhana.com that he was fine and had revealed that a second test carried out by doctors proved different to that of the club. I have been running and training since this issue. I have not allowed it to worry me and I hope Ghanaians will adopt the same attitude. I feel fine and hopefully with my representatives, we can see this issue through to its logical conclusion. As far as I am concerned, I am fit and good to play football, he added. Meanwhile, the agent of Prince Tagoe has launched a scathing attack on Hoffenheim, adding The player has no heart problems, but the club is treating him unfairly. According to Goran Milovanovic, the German club will be reported to FIFA for illegally abrogating the players contract suspiciously, while a civil suit will be filed in Germany for human rights abuse. Hoffenheim terminated the contract of Tagoe two weeks ago, but only came to light on Wednesday; with the Club claiming that the player had a heart condition which culminated in their decision to cancel his contract. According to reports, a second test from a heart specialist in Germany indicates that the striker has a clean heart. We are terribly disappointed that a club of the stature of Hoffenheim will cancel the contract of a player based on the opinion of just one doctor, he reiterated.
