One of the good things about getting older is being just a little bit smug when someone younger asks for your advice.

Age doesn't necessarily mean wisdom, but you can't help but learn a thing or two along the way (especially if you spend your life writing and researching about relationships!). For all the young women who write to me asking for love advice, this is for you: everything I wish I'd known myself, back in the day.
