“I am really sad for what has been published by JOY FM; claiming I said the presidential press corps accident was blown out of proportion and that accidents happen all the time. I never said that during my interview with JOY FM. They have manipulated the story. Who am I to say that” – That was the words from the Dean of the Presidential Press Corps, Nutor Bibini Nutor denying ever said that the presidential press corps recent accident was exaggerated by the media.

Speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show "Ghana Montie", Nutor explained that – he just raised issues of some journalists whose reportage on the accident was questionable – “I told them [JOY FM] that some journalists are ethical and some are not. I even warned them not to twist the story which they agreed. I respect them a lot but very sad with this publication from them”.

Nutor Bibini Nutor was purported to have said that the Presidential press corps accident which killed Ghanaian Times Newspaper’s presidential correspondent, Samuel Nuamah was exaggerated – adding that - accidents happen all the time.

Whereas many have described the accident as unfortunate – Nutor was quoted that – “This is a road accident, I’m sure before you sit in your car, you check your engine, you check your fuel level, you check your water level, you think everything is fine with your battery, you pray to God and you move but what God wills is what will happen.”

He however told NEAT FM’s morning show host Kwasi Aboagye that, he only raised questions as to why pictures of the deceased went viral on social media – “I was worried about the pictures of Samuel on TV and in newspapers. We don’t do that. It is not ethical. Let us respect the ethics of the profession. For oncs we should respect the dead. That is what I told them [JOY FM]”.

The Dean further insisted that – “The media must cease from publishing Samuel Nuamah’s lifeless pictures. How would his family feel when they see such pictures? Who am I to say the accident was blown out of proportion…who am I? He questioned.
