Charles Antwi Joins Inmates At Psychiatric Hospital

The man who attempted to assassinate President John Dramani Mahama has been sent to the Accra Psychiatric Hospital for mental assessment. An Accra High Court on Monday ordered the release of the 36-year-old after quashing a 10-year sentencing slapped on him weeks earlier by a circuit court. The presiding judge J.A Okwabi in his ruling last Monday ordered the Dadiesoaba-born man to be sent to the psychiatric clinic for an assessment before a possible trial can proceed. Charles Antwi, 36, was in the same attire Charles Antwi had gone to the Ringway Branch of the Assemblies of God Church on Sunday, July 26 - his fourth attendance - to kill the president but luck eluded him as he was rounded up by some national security operatives.
