Samias Chairmanship Has Lowered CPPs Fortunes Kwesi Pratt
Managing editor of the Insight Newspaper, Kwesi Pratt Jnr. has stated that the fortunes of the Convention Peoples Party (CPP) have seen a massive fall under the current chairman, Samia Nkrumah.
He is of the view that the electoral fortunes of the CPP will be enhanced if a new leadership is formed which according to him will help the party to put up impressive show in the 2016 election.
Our fortunes have fallen under Samia. The then vibrant CPP we use to know is no more and so I would be very happy if Dr. Dele is elected as the new chairman of the party because I believe he will strongly deliver he noted.
The CPP has opened nominations for the election of National Executive Officers for the party.
Nominations are expected to be closed on Friday 4th September, 2015.
Ahead of the partys scheduled congress on 18th September, aspirants are feverishly campaigning to be elected to various positions in the party.
But the outspoken journalist speaking in an interview on Adom fms morning show Dwaso Nsem Thursday said with the preferred candidates to steer the affairs of the party after the congress, the party will achieve its goals before the 2016 general elections.
There is no togetherness in the party and so what I expect from the executives who will be elected is to bring togetherness to champion the cause of the party he stressed.
