Seven Women's soccer teams in the Central Region will participate in a two-day Gala at the Robert Mensah Stadium, Cape Coast on Saturday, September 12.
The teams are Vodaphone Ladies, Elmina Bafana-Bafana, Winneba Soccer Intellectuals, Apam Kampside Ladies, Foso Great Assin North Ladies, Foso Assinman United and Agona -Abrem Super Blessing Ladies.
The competition which is being organized by the Central Regional Women's Soccer Association is designed to promote women's soccer and raise a formidable regional team. Mr Dzito Ewudzie, vice-chairman of the Association who disclosed this to GNA Sports at Cape Coast, therefore appealed for sponsorship in cash or kind from corporate bodies, the Regional Coordinating Council, District Assemblies and well meaning individuals.
