Kevin Osei In A Limbo

New Olympique Marseille teenage sensation, Keven Osei exclusively tells 90 MINUTES newspaper in an interview from his France base about his readiness to taste national team football any time soon. The snag however is, Kevin remains undecided whether to opt for the country of his birth France, or the country of his parents origin, Ghana. The exciting Marseille midfielder is at a crossroads on which national side to pledge his allegiance and says he is in a dilemma. He told us exclusively: "I have not yet made up my mind on the country that I want to represent. If I play for Ghana, it would be good because my family is Ghanaians but I was born in France which also gives me the opportunity to represent France as well. At the moment I hold a French nationality and don't really know which country I want to play for. It is a difficult choice to make," he added. Though Osei admits he has not received any call-up from both countries, the 18-yr-old youth prodigy says he would consider an opportunity to play for Ghana. I have not received any call-up from any of these two countries but I hope to earn one soon. If the Ghana Federation invites me, of course I would answer that call but at the moment nothing of that sort has happened. Osei however remains hopeful of carving a niche for himself in Didier Deschamps senior Marseille team after he earned promotion from the junior side. I want to do my best in the senior team and I am very happy to learn from the established stars whom I train with everyday. Osei has a very close relationship at Marseille with fellow Ghanaian, Jordan Ayew, son of the legendary Abedi Pele.
