No Rachel Appoh, No Vote Come 2016 - Concerned Constituents of Gomoa Central

Concerned constituents at the Gomoa Central constituency in the Central Region have threatened not to vote for President John Dramani Mahama in the 2016 general elections.

The constituents have complained bitterly about the delay of their Member of Parliament, Hon. Rachel Nana Adwoa Appoh to pick her Parliamentary forms to stand for the constituency in the impending National Democratic Congress (NDC) Primaries this year.

According to them, without "Hon. Nana Adwoa, most of us would stay away from the general elections for 2016."

They threatened that if their MP's nomination forms delays, then it will be "No Nana Adwoa, No Vote" come 2016 elections.

"Rachel Nana Appoh by far seems to be the most credible, tried and tested candidate among the current Parliamentary hopefuls in the upcoming NDC Parliamentary primaries for Gomoa Central," a statement released by the group read.

Meanwhile, sources from the Gomoa Central Member of Parliament confirmed to Peacefmonline.com that the Hon. MP is likely to pick her form in the course of the week for possible submission on Thursday.

The MP according to sources is recovering from a life threatening accident she had few weeks ago as that has not enabled her to come out publicly on her contention for the seat again.

PRESS STATEMENT BY THE CONCERNED MEMBERS FROM GOMOA CENTRAL CONSTITUENCY

We, the concerned members of the Gomoa Central Constituency, wish to express our frustration over the delayed on the part of our Member of Parliament Hon. Rachel Nana Adwoa Appoh to pick her Parliamentary form for the fourth coming NDC Parliamentary primaries for 2016 general elections.

We, the concerned members of the Gomoa Central Constituency, wish to state that Hon. Rachel Nana Adwoa Appoh by far seems to be the most credible, tried and tested candidate among the current Parliamentary hopefuls in the upcoming NDC Parliamentary primaries for Gomoa Central.

She is on record to have been the first MP and for that matter the first female to have won the Gomoa Central seat and undoubtedly one of the best performing Gomoa MP's looking at her developmental track record over the past two and half years.

We, the concerned members, wish to state without any malicious intent that without Hon. Nana Adwoa, most of us would stay away from the general elections for 2016 that would mean "NO NANA ADWOA, NO VOTE."

Our main reason is stein from the fact as enumerated below. Project undertaken in two and half years under the tutelage Hon. Rachel Nana Adwoa as Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central Constituency.

a. 3-classroom block 6
b. 6-classroom block 5
c. Boreholes 14
d. Electricity expansion and meters
e. Social interventions such as support for the widows, financial support for needy but briliant students and also provision of farming inputs to farmers across the entire constituency just to mention a few.

We therefore wish to use this media platform to show our solidarity and support for the Hon. MP by requesting her to pick her forms as soon as possible because Gomoa Central needs her and will continue to need her as our MP.
