Soon Judges Will Demand Salted Fish...But MPs Should Know They're Next On Anas' Radar - Pratt

Kwesi Pratt, Managing Editor of the Insight newspaper, has hinted that ace investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, will soon release a revealing video about the actions and inactions of Parliamentarians in the country.

Contributing to a panel discussion on Peace FM's "Kokrokoo", Mr. Pratt noted that the rot discovered by Anas and his investigative team "Tiger Team" on Ghana's Parliament is very damning.

According to him, the team has already edited the video which signifies that the next scandal to hit the airwaves will emanate from the Legislative body.

I know they have started editing the tape on Parliament. I have spoken with the person editing the tape on Parliament. And in fact it will be much dangerous when Parliament’s own comes up. Some two to three names top names” are on the tape.

Commenting further on Anas' undercover investigation especially regarding the judicial service, Mr. Pratt disagreed with law experts and other proponents insisting that Anas' video should not be shown to the public.

Mr. Pratt, addressing the issue, stressed that nothing should hinder the viewing of the video.

To him, judges assume godly power over the citizens of the nation and can pronounce life or death sentence on culprits.

So, in his view, any abuse of power by them should be condemned.

They have so much power. This is why abuse of power of the judiciary is different from other abuses. Though they’re all abuses, with the judge; abuse of power is different. So, it’s disturbing if the judges have so much power and they can collect goats in order to make decisions. Now, you have begun to collect goats, what else will you be collecting in the future? You’re receiving goats and yam; a time will come that you will be demanding salted fish…
