JHS Student Stabs Friend To Death

A Seventeen-Year-Old form two Junior High School student, Attah Owusu, from Akyem Akropong on Friday, September 11, 2015 did the unthinkable by stabbing his 22-year-old friend, Bismark Addo, sending him to his early grave.

The police account which was corroborated by witnesses had it that, there was a funeral in the town so Addo who worked in Accra traveled home to mourn with the bereaved family of the deceased.

During the funeral, Addo (now deceased) met Owusu his school time friend in town and had wanted to greet him, but Owusu avoided the greetings. Not satisfied with Owusu’s behaviour the deceased patted his (Owusu) back and asked him the reason for his strange behaviour.

The question infuriated the suspect who pulled a knife out of his pocket and stabbed Addo on the neck and chest. Addo who was bleeding profusely tried to arrest the suspect to the police station, but was restrained by onlookers.

He, however, rushed to the police station to make a complaint, but fell unconscious.

The police first rushed Addo to the Enyiresi government hospital, but was transferred to the Koforidua Central Hospital, but died on the way.

The suspect after the act fled from the town and has still not been seen.

Meanwhile, the Kyebi Municipal Police commander, Peter Okyere has appealed to the general public to volunteer information that will lead to the arrest of the fugitive.
