Vice-President Fires At Critics

The Vice President, Mr. John Dramani Mahama, has sent a strong message to certain people in the NDC who have been criticizing the government as being slow; that such acts serve as a way of inciting party faithfuls against government. There is no way a government that has been in power for only seven months can satisfy all the needs of the people and nation, the Veep said. Mr Mahama pointed out that the NDC is always mindful of the high expectations of Ghanaians from the government when it took over power, and gave the assurance that within the 4 years mandate of its mandate, government will deliver on its promises for NDC to be retained during the next elections. The Vice President made these remarks when he presented 50 bags of rice and 50 bags of sugar to the Ahmadiya Muslim Mission in Accra today. The items, he said, were to be given to the underprivileged who find it difficult to make ends meet, to use the items after they have broken the fast during Ramadan . On his part, the Head of the Ahmadiya Muslim Mission (the Ameer), Maulvi Wahab Adam, said this years Ramadan is a special one, because Allah has taken Ghana through a successful and peaceful electioneering year. The Ameer described the Vice President as a friend of the Ahmadiya Muslim Mission. Mr. John Mahama is not a stranger to the Ahmadiya Mission because he has always been with us on some occasions including campaign periods, he said.
