Plumber Remanded For Possessing Cocaine

A 30 year old plumber at Agona Swedru, Kofi Boison, was on Monday remanded in police custody by an Agona Swedru Circuit Court for possessing 90 wrappers of a whitish substance suspected to be cocaine. Boison pleaded not guilty to unlawful possession of narcotic drugs, and will reappear before the Court on November 11. Prosecuting, Police Chief Inspector Stephen Opoku Mensah, told the Court, presided over by Madam Abigail Animah Asare, that Boison was arrested by a Police Taskforce at Ankyease, a suburb of Agona Swedru, on September 5, this year, during a police swoop. According to Chief Inspector Mensah, the taskforce saw the whitish substance in his pocket after a spot search was conducted on him. Chief Inspector Mensah said after Police investigations the accused was charged with the offence.
