Anas Video Must Be Edited Before Airing

Mr Egbert Faibile, Counsel for four of the judicial staff cited in a bribery scandal, says certain portions of the video must be taken off before airing. He said certain considerations ought to be recognised and some portions of individuals and what took place around them taken off the video. Mr Faibile was speaking to the Media on Thursday after watching the video with his team of lawyers, clients and staff of the Judicial Service notable among them being the Judicial Secretary. He said the movie, had very interesting scenes but it should not be a conclusive evidence for finding anybody guilty until people have gone through the right processes. Mr Faibile said: Another conviction we have come to is that everybody wants to watch the video, and I can understand the public but there are sensibilities and ethical moral considerations. He said there are children in the video, saying: At least I saw one child in the video, and are you going to show a child to the world because one of his or her parents was engaged in a discussion with somebody. He said watching of the video was just the first step in the processes but there would be hearings. We are supposed to file our responses after receipt of certain documentation from the Judicial Service, he added. Mr John Ndebugri also accompanied Judicial Service staff who is the driver of Justice Ivy Heward-Mills to watch the video. In total, five Judicial Service staff have watched the video. Meanwhile, Mr Derrick Annan, Judicial Service Staff Association of Ghana Secretary said Association is yet to meet and deliberate on the matters arriving from the said tape against its members. He said: We are now going to meet and consolidate the issues that have come up against our members and form a formidable front to be able to come to a conclusion.
