Dont Sell CPP This Time - Joseph Agyapong

As the Convention People’s Party (CPP) go to the polls tomorrow to elect new set of executives to steer the party affairs, president of Providence Canada, a Canadian telecommunication company, Joseph Agyapong, has implored delegates to resist any attempt to “sell the party this time around”.

Mr. Agyapong, who would be contesting CPP’s 2016 presidential slot, is urging members of the party should not tolerate infiltration from any other political party.

The presidential candidate hopeful said CPP has been highly tipped to govern the country after the 2016 general elections, and cautioned members not to compromise the votes in favour of any mole in the party.

About 3,000 delegates of the (CPP) are expected to part -take in the party’s National Delegates’ Congress at Sunyani Polytechnic in the Brong Ahafo region come Saturday, September 19, this year, to elect national officers to lead the political grouping in the 2016 general elections.

CPP officials have stated that the party had put in place the necessary measures to ensure that the party’s supporters elect credible leaders to shore up its electoral fortunes.

My Agyapong said Ghanaians were fed up of the ‘fruitless’ reigns of the NDC and NPP, and that they were waiting for a new direction, which only CPP is capable of delivering.

“Ghanaians after more than 20-year reign of NDC and 8 years from the NPP are fed up and looking for hope, the hope only CPP can give”, he stated.

With many years’ experience in the management of a giant telecommunication in Canada, Joseph Agyapong believes his new vision and direction is what Ghana needs to offset current difficulties.
“I'm certainly going to work toward providing Ghanaians with a choice that they will be enthusiastic about. I will use the experience I have acquired through living in different developed countries to make sure everyone has access to basic developments and a decent life”, he added.

He appealed to Ghanaians to bring CPP back to lead the nation because “they are ready and willing to perform because they have had done it before”.

“Vote for CPP to break the poverty cycle in the nation. CPP cares and big enough to deliver”, he indicated.

Political pundits believe Joseph Agyapong “stands tall in his quest to becoming the presidential candidate for the CPP in the 2016 elections in Ghana”.
