Disciplinary Committee Must Punish Any NPP Executive That Partook In LMVCA Demo...!

The National Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), John Boadu and his subordinate Sammy Awuku and the former Executive Director of the Danquah Institute have been described as hijackers of the party’s structures by Baah Acheamfuor, the party’s activist.

His description is in line with the fact that the aforementioned names led the largest opposition NPP to join the Let My Vote Count Alliance picketing without the knowledge and approval of the party’s structures.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, Baah Acheamfuor posited it would have been difficult for the General Secretary Kwabena Agyepong and the National Chairman Paul Afoko to response to the issue if anybody had died in the bloody demonstration.

“The people who attended the demo have hijacked the party’s structures and taken the authority vested in these structures to do whatever they want. I believe the Disciplinary Committee has to decide on this matter and the individuals who led in the demo must be punished; nobody is above the law”, he urged.

He again mentioned that since the NEC as well as the Steering Committee and the National Council didn’t accept the demonstration, then all those who featured in the demonstration have flouted the party’s law and they must be punished.

“NPP is a law-abiding party which follows the law to its core and so if the demonstrators disobeyed the approved routes, it means NPP has been entangled in that bad name. Those who have made their mind to usurp the authorities in the party and do whatever they want in the party, the Disciplinary Committee should call and punish them”, he charged.

He therefore pleaded the following “John Boadu, Sammy Awuku and Gabby Otchere-Darko” to refrain from the idea of taking the authority from the party’s executives as there are structures to follow in the party.
