Alhaji Dori Stands Tall As Mahama Ayarigas Plan To Go Unopposed Crushes

At every stage of the contest, the battle for the Bawku Central constituency seat keeps getting hotter. Alhaji Dori, the National Democratic Congress’ aspirant for the area appears to be gathering momentum at an unusual speed. If not wrong, he could be said to be the dark horse in the race to unseat Mahama Ayariga, the current MP in the area. Negative machinations deployed against him during the vetting process have failed to work and in an interview with Peacefmonline.com, he explains that “the vetting of the Bawku central constituency was delayed yesterday as a result of petition against the two candidates contesting Hon. Ayariga in the persons of Alhaji Dori and Abdulai Musah.” In the Vetting of parliamentary aspirants has begun in the National Democratic Congress (NDC). ahead of the party’s parliamentary primaries slated for November 7, this year, the party is embarking on a nationwide vetting process. The exercise, which has begun in the Eastern, Upper East, Central and Upper West regions, will see the vetting of 689 aspirants across the country who have submitted their forms. The aspirants are expected to troop to the regional offices and the party’s headquarters in the coming weeks to face the NDC Election Committee.
