Ghana is likely to be in the Guinness World Records book – perhaps not for sports or any other but rather for a ‘bad’ reason.

According to a private legal practitioner, Abraham Amaliba, Ghana can make the grade to be in the world records book after some judges were cited for corruption.

The judges, Thirty-four [34] in number are facing impeachment after an exposé hit the Ghana judicial service some weeks ago.

One high profile judge among the 34 respected judges, Justice John Ajet-Nassam is a High Court Judge who freed Alfred Agbesi Woyome in the controversial GHC51 million judgment debt scandal.

He was videotaped and audio recorded in separate conversations with the Tiger IP team to twist big cases.

The two-year painstaking investigations by legendary investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas was premiered at the Accra International Conference Centre and has since generated many cacophony in the public.

Majority of Ghanaians after watching the three-hour concrete evidence were left dumbstruck.

Speaking on OKAY FM’s Saturday morning show, Lawyer Amaliba opined that Ghana has set a world record which will be tough to be broken by any country.

“34 Ghanaian judges in corruption, this is a world record. I am yet to see a country which can break that record,” he said. 

According to him, he was not surprised of the exposé – “I already know how corrupt the judges are”.
