Anas's Video Has Shown Some Judgments Are Based On Ability To Pay Or Offer Goat - Bernard Mornah

Aspiring National Chairman of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Bernard Mornah has praised astute investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas for exposing other fundamentals on which judgments are pronounced.

“Anas video has shown that some of these judgments are not based on the fundamental of the law; thus, some of these judgments are founded on basis of your ability to pay and maybe your ability to bring a goat and therefore a case will be determined in a certain light. In some of the instances it is that the money should be paid in full before a case is determined,” he said on Radio Gold’s 'Alhaji and Alhaji' programme.

Digressing from the view of those who think the judges should not be criticized harshly and that we all share in the rot, Bernard Mornah admonished the judges are products of the society just as the clergy that much is expected of them by the fact that they have reached a certain level of “pastoral understanding” to behave differently from the rest.

“…If we take that the justices are just like any of us, I’m not sure that we will take the judiciary as a very serious organ of government where all of us when we have a case would troop to them so that we can see that justice is done," he said.

To him, Anas's video should be appreciated without looking at how ethical or unethical he obtained the videos and whether or not the video should have been shown.
