Delta Air Lines Engages Chelsea Supporters

To consolidate its position as the airline of choice in Ghana, Delta Air Lines held an afternoon event for the supporters of the Chelsea Ghana Supporters Union during a match viewing session of Chelsea FC vs. Arsenal FC in Accra. The company hosted over 40 customers at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel's Equator Bar; strengthening the relationship that exists between the airline and its customers. At the end of the day, two lucky customers won Main Cabin tickets to the United States in a raffle draw and another received an autographed, replica Chelsea FC jersey. Commenting on the event, Petra Asamoah, Delta Air Lines' sales manager in Ghana said the company puts their customers first. "At Delta Air Lines, we are committed to providing a great experience and unmatched service for our customers. We know our customers love football and this was a great opportunity to support the Chelsea Ghana Supporters Union and interact with them as they enjoyed an exciting football game." she said. Delta Air Lines has recently been named "Airline of the Year 2014 (International)" in Ghana for the fourth time by the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) during their annual National Marketing Performance Awards. Delta has operated service to Ghana since December 2006 and now operates service to four African cities in four countries. Delta has grown from 22 weekly departures to and from Africa in December 2006 to more than 42 planned for winter 2015. Through the hubs in Atlanta and New York-JFK, Delta offers an unsurpassed network of hundreds of convenient onward connections.
